In a survey released by the provincial government on December 14, 2012, the Provincial Health Services Authority's (PHSA) two acute care facilities, BC Children’s Hospital and BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre, earned top marks from patients for the care they provide.
PHSA had the highest overall quality of care rating of all the health authorities at 98.3%, up from the 96.8% that PHSA scored in 2008. At BC Children’s, 92.2% of respondents indicated that they would recommend a stay in BC Children’s Hospital, up from 87.8% in 2008. At BC Women’s, that score was 89.3%.
