About Safe Start

What does Safe Start do?

Responds to inquiries and requests from the public and health care professionals
Partners with safety coalitions, advisory committees and other injury prevention stakeholders
Advocates for legislative change
Works with community groups to teach injury prevention strategies and implement change at the local level
Develops awareness campaigns and resources in partnership with corporate sponsors.

Our services and resources include:

First Ride	A program to help support BC postpartum nurses to ensure baby's first ride home is a safe one.
Display Loan Program	A free safety display for temporary use by non-profit programs at special events, health fairs and conferences.
