Core Membership Group

To date the CICH has maintained a relatively loose, informal relationship with BC Children's Hospital staff.  We will be maintaining our mailing list, which will serve to keep our CICH network informed of our activities. However, this listing does not effectively bring together child health professionals from BC Children's or UBC who are actively engaged in global child health initiatives, or would like to be, as part of their career development. This is essential if we are to attain our objectives.

With this in mind we are inviting staff and trainees to join the CICH as core members in what we would hope will be your professional global health home.  

Membership would entail the following:

• Direct, pro-active participation in project development and conduct
• Attending ‘projects in development’ CICH work rounds (scheduled twice/month)
• Assisting with field placements for staff or trainees
• On-site global health advocacy and awareness building
• Contributing to a global pediatrics fellowship program

Please keep in mind this is not intended to be an interest group, but a membership made up of those who intend to be professionally active in global health. For those who wish to join, we look forward to working with you and creating a Centre we can all identify with and be proud of.
