Infanrix Hexa in Aboriginals

New Infant Vaccine

One Less Shot
at each Baby Visit

In 2009, all BC children will get a new 6 in 1 vaccine called Infanrix-Hexa™.

Children will get the new shot at 2, 4 and 6 months of age. They will need

1 less needle at each visit and 3 fewer shots in total.

In this study, we are giving the new shot starting in 2008 to some children and taking a blood sample to look at protection after the shots are done. We are comparing levels of protection between aboriginal and non-aboriginal children.
