Child Psychiatry, Teaching, and Consultation Clinic
The Child Psychiatry Teaching and Consultation Clinic is a teaching clinic affiliated with the
UBC Faculty of Medicine
. The clinic provides individual psychiatric assessments in a teaching environment. Child and adolescent psychiatrists supervise psychiatry residents and other trainees. In addition to psychiatrists, psychiatry residents and other trainees, the assessment may involve a team psychologist, a speech language pathologist, and a social worker.
The clinic sees children from six to 17 years of age with a broad range of child and adolescent mental health problems. The clinic does not provide custody and access evaluations, nor does it address problems primarily due to substance abuse or associated issues with the criminal justice system.
