Mandy Johnson, RN

Nurse Clinician
  • I have worked in the Cardiac Sciences Program since 1989 and would not consider working anywhere else, as I just love working with children and families. I started as a registered nurse on the cardiac inpatient unit and then moved down to the outpatient clinic area in 1997 as a Nurse Clinician.
  • I qualified as a nurse in Newcastle, England and am currently working on my degree (while working full time- it may take me many years to complete it).
  • I enjoy all aspects of my job as a clinic nurse but my main areas of interest are in family support and teaching. I am also very involved in the transition program that helps the youth understand their specific cardiac issues and assists them in their transfer to an adult orientated cardiac care program.
