How parents can help

For an EEG, your child must:

  • Come awake to the test (no sleeping in the car!)
  • Fall asleep during the test (because some brain waves only appear in sleep)

Follow the appropriate preparation instructions:

DO NOT BE LATE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT!

  • It is very important to be on time!!!!
  • Please try to arrive 30 minutes before the test to find parking and/or register at Patient Registration in the main lobby.
  • Being late for your appointment only cuts into your child's testing time.
  • If you have a 7:00 am appointment, go directly to the EEG Department.
