The Neurosciences Program provides tertiary level care for children and youth with disorders of the nervous system. These programs and services are:
Neurology includes epilepsy and epilepsy surgery, neonatal neurology, neuromuscular disease and neuro-oncology.
The Brain Mapping Centre develops and refines the best brain mapping techniques to measure, view, analyze and understand normal and abnormal brain function to improve the lives of children with brain disorders.
Diagnostic Neurophysiology (EEG)
provides a wide range of diagnostic neurophysiological procedures to inpatients and outpatients, including patients from Sunny Hill Health Centre.

Ketogenic Diet Program
Neonatal Neurology
Neuromuscular Program
Neuro-Oncology Program
Neurosurgery is the major referral centre for pediatric neurosurgical conditions in BC and one of the foremost pediatric neurosurgical units in Canada. It performs approximately 300 neurosurgical operations yearly for these conditions: brain and spinal tumours, cerebral palsy, Chiari malformations, craniosynostosis, epilepsy head injuries, hydrocephalus, intrauterine fetal counseling, motor disorders/spasticity program, moya moya disease, syringomyelia, spina bifida and trauma.
Outreach clinics in Kelowna, Nelson, Prince George and Trail provide services to more than 200 patient visits yearly.
