For Referring Physicians

NEW REFERRALS

  1. Please send CF Clinic a referral form.
  2. Fax all the patient relevant data including investigations done in the past. See contact info.
  3. New patients are scheduled on the basis of clinical urgency.
  4. Clinically stable patients are seen in the clinic as an oupatient.
  5. Newly diagnosed CF patients receive CF teaching in the hospital as an inpatient.

INVESTIGATIONS

  1. Please make sure we receive the copy of investigations requested in the community when ever it is applicable.
  2. Sputum or Throat Swab must be requested for CF panel specifically, otherwise most labs report it for streptococcus only.
  3. Radiology Films could be pushed through the grid system to BCCH radiology if grid is available in your community.
