Insulin Dose Adjustment: An Online Education Program for Parents of Children with Diabetes
The
Endocrinology & Diabetes Unit
has completed the first version of an online insulin dose adjustment self-learning program for parents of children with diabetes.
The program's content and design were developed by
Cristina Pepe RN, BSN, CDE
and
Heather Nichol RN, MScN, CDE
.
We express our thanks to the staff from Media Productions and Services and from Learning and Development, especially Mr. Peter Choi, and to all of the children and families who participated in the development of this program.
For the future, we would like to develop modules dealing with multiple-dose insulin regimens, carbohydrate counting, and insulin pumps. Please
