Endocrinology & Diabetes Unit
The BC Children’s Hospital Endocrinology & Diabetes Unit is a diagnostic, treatment and education centre for children and families affected with diabetes and other endocrine conditions. The endocrine conditions include variations and abnormalities of normal growth and puberty, as well as both over- and under-production of thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and antidiuretic hormones.

, the Unit serves as an academic resource centre for pediatricians and other physicians and health-care professionals serving children affected with diabetes and hormone problems in our province.
The mission of our website is to provide families and health care providers with up-to-date information relevant to diabetes and other diseases of the endocrine system in infants, children and youth. All educational materials developed for our clinic patients are also made available on this website.
