Tele-CDR

Binary world Technologies such as Telehealth (videoconferencing) are used to share information with communities around the province and to facilitate information exchange among our community partners. For more information about the Provincial Telehealth Program, visit the BC Children's Hospital website.

  • Sunny Hill hosts Tele-CDR (Child Development & Rehabilitation) educational sessions on the third Thursday of each month
  • Sessions cover a wide variety of topics specific to development and rehabilitation:
    • Pediatric Feeding Disorders: A Behavioral Perspective
    • AAC Awareness – also known as ATT (assistive technology team)
    • The Annual Stephen Salzberg Memorial Ethics Lecture

Sunny Hill also makes good use of videoconferencing in other areas:

  • Clinical teaching sessions provide direct support to professionals working in remote locations

  • 19 clinical consults - which give our professionals an opportunity to assess a child prior to visiting that child in a remote community

  • 24 hosted or co-hosted sessions
