Our Services
Sunny Hill provides services for children with developmental disabilities and their families. During your visit, you and your child may work with one health professional or have a team of professionals. The team will focus on your child's needs, assess your child, create a plan for your child's services, and help you and the professionals in your community make the plan work.
Your child's team may include:
Neuromotor
Professionals who work in the neuromotor area focus on ....
Feeding
- Assessment and consultation services for children who have complex feeding and nutrition problems
Hearing Loss
- Assessment and consultation services for children who have trouble hearing
Visual Impairment
- Assessment and consultation services for children who are visually impaired
Tone Management
- Assessment and consultation services for children who have problems with tone or tension in their muscles
Assistive Technology
(ATT) - Assessment and consultation services for children with problems communicating.The solution may include special electronic equipment
Positioning & Mobility
(PMT) - Assessment and consultation services for children with who require special equipment to sit, stand or move
Autism (PARC)
and Complex Developmental Behavioural Condition (CDBC)
Shriners' Gait Lab
The
Gait Lab
staff are professionals who assess a child's ability to walk
Acute Rehabilitation Inpatient Program
(Acute Rehab)
Children who are cared for in the acute rehabilitation inpatient program include:
Children with an Acquired Brain Injury
Children who require rehabilitation after surgery, illness, or injury
Children with complex care needs who require respite care
