The Surgery/Surgical Suites Program provides diagnostic and treatment services for infants and children from 14 weeks gestation to 17 years of age. The program includes the Surgical Suites, 3R-Surgical Inpatient Unit and ambulatory clinics including: Cleft Palate and Craniofacial, Dentistry, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, General Surgery, Gynecology, Pain Service, Plastic Surgery, Pre-Admission and Urology. The inpatient unit includes the Burn Unit that provides care for children under the age of six. The interdisciplinary staff includes surgeons, anesthetists, social workers, psychologists, nurses, support staff, dieticians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and child life specialists.
The Surgery/Surgical Suites Program provides outreach clinics in areas of the province outside of the Lower Mainland.
