Immunization is one of the best ways parents and caregivers can protect their child’s health. It is also one of the most important measures available to monitor the prevention of illness and health complications—it is often described as one of the most successful and cost-effective health interventions.

If you’re coming to BC Children’s for an appointment or to visit a loved one, be sure to drop by the clinic for routine immunizations. The clinic offers all publicly-funded immunizations at no cost to patients at BC Children’s and BC Women’s and their friends and family visiting the hospital.

Did you know your child should follow an immunization schedule? To learn more visit ImmunizeBC—immunization schedules available for infants and children and school age children.

BC Children’s Family Immunization Clinic opened last fall and is the first in-hospital immunization clinic in Canada. The clinic provides all publicly-funded immunizations through a combination of drop-in visits and pre-booked appointments that are scheduled with an immunization nurse or physician.
