If your child is sick, speak to a health care professional any time of day or night by dialing 8-1-1 on your phone or visiting HealthLinkBC. To make a medical appointment at BC Children's or Sunny Hill, you must obtain a referral for medical or surgical consultation from your physician. To change or cancel a medical appointment, please call your child’s clinic or unit directly or call our main line 604-875-2000 (BC Children's) or 604-453-8300 (Sunny Hill) and ask to be connected to your clinic/unit.
You can request information from your child's medical file by printing the Release of Information Form and faxing it in. Please note that due to the volume of requests received, it can take four weeks or more to process release of information. This office administers the family medicine and the 61 specialty and subspecialty training programs recognized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the College of Family Physicians of Canada. All programs use resources in the university affiliated tertiary care hospitals in Vancouver (St. Paul's, Vancouver General Hospital 12th & Oak Pavilions, Vancouver General Hospital - UBC Pavilions, BC Children's Hospital and BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre).
