Respite Care

We provide short-term respite stays for children with disabilities who have significant limitations in mobility and have high care needs.

The first step to get respite care at Sunny Hill is to ask your child's doctor for a referral. A Social Worker will then call and/or meet with you to gather more information about your child and respite needs. Following review of your referral with the medical and nursing team, the Social Worker will then call you to let you know if your child has been accepted for respite services.

If your child has been accepted, you will need to book respite days through the Social Worker at 604-453-8300 ext 8227.

For more information about this program, or to know how to prepare for your child’s respite visit, please see: Information about the Respite Program at Sunny Hill.
