BC Children's Hospital offers clinics, support services and hospital care to BC children and their families at the BC Children's Hospital site and Sunny Hill Health Centre.

Child Life
Certified Child Life specialists support children, youth and families in coping with their health-care journey, including hospitalization, tests, procedures and ongoing illness.
Child Protection Service Unit
The Child Protection Service Unit runs the Child and Family Clinic, which offers support for children and youth who may be at risk of physical, sexual or emotional harm, or neglect.
Compass Mental Health
Compass Mental Health is a province-wide service that supports community care providers with the information, advice and resources they need to deliver appropriate and timely care to all children and youth (up to 25 years of age) close to home.
Complex Care
We provide coordinated care for children and youth with the most complex and chronic medical needs.
Complex Developmental and Behavioural Conditions
The Complex Developmental Behavioural Conditions program at Sunny Hill Health Centre provides assessments for children and youth with complex neurodevelopmental and functional support needs. These may include assessments for communication, cognition, motor and daily living skills.
Complex Feeding and Nutrition
We provide consultative or ongoing services as appropriate, including medical management, nutrition counselling and feeding therapy, to children and youth with complex feeding and nutritional issues that cannot be addressed by their community.
Dentistry
We provide consultations and comprehensive dental treatment for children and youth diagnosed with a medical comorbidity or behavioural complexity, as well as those requiring emergency dental care.
Dermatology
The Dermatology team at BC Children’s Hospital provides specialist, comprehensive care for children and youth with challenging skin, hair and nail disorders.
Developmental Pediatrics at Sunny Hill Health Centre
We provide specialized developmental assessments and rehabilitation services to children, youth and their families from across BC.
Diabetes Day Program
The Diabetes Day Program provides education about diabetes for newly diagnosed families and those who have moved to BC from other provinces or countries.
Diagnostic Neurophysiology
The Diagnostic Neurophysiology service is part of the Neurosciences Program. We provide a wide range of tests that evaluate the function of the nervous system.
Early Motor Screening
The Early Motor Screening pilot project is complete as of October 1, 2025, and we are no longer accepting new referrals.
Eating Disorders
The Provincial Specialized Eating Disorders Program serves children and youth who have complex eating disorders that require intensive care in a hospital or community setting across different sites, including BC Children's Hospital.
Emergency Department
If your child is having a medical emergency, which includes difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness or a mental health crisis, call 9-1-1 immediately for an ambulance or visit your nearest emergency department.
Endocrinology, Diabetes and Gender
We provide care to children and youth who have diabetes, a gender identity that is different than their assigned sex, or issues with growth and puberty or hormone production.
