Our auditorium is transformed into a Santa’s Workshop with sections of toys, games and goodies dedicated to age categories from preemies to teens. 

“Patient’s families really appreciate being able to stop by for gifts, rather than having to go out and shop – when they have a little one in the hospital depending on them,” says Mary MacKillop, Director of Patient Experience. “It’s about taking the pressures of holiday shopping and the cost of that off our families.”

The event is coordinated by BCCH/BCW Patient Experience and supported by volunteers. Families who are inpatient families at BCCH/BCW are invited by care team members to shop at no cost for their children (both patients and siblings) to ensure they have gifts to give their children while staying at the hospital over the holidays.
