Sunny Hill is contracted to provide community-based services for:

  • Burnaby Infant Development Program - Provision of physical therapy assessment and consultation services to families and infant development workers for infants with special needs
  • Tri-cities School Therapy Program - Provision of OT and PT services for school age children with special needs who live in School District #43. Occupational therapists and physical therapists work with parents and school staff to help children with their education goals. Therapists also help children with their home and community goals

Sunny Hill assigns professionals or assembles groups of professionals to work with community teams to deliver assessment, treatment and consultation services to children and families. Sunny Hill is often contracted to start up a program (developing the service structure and process) and to assist in recruiting staff to the program. In some cases Sunny Hill staff provide ongoing services and support to meet the service needs of children and families. In addition to providing a valued service, these programs offer a wide range of learning experiences for professional students and trainees.
